Hotelnet is a brand of Superbreak with a search history going back to the late 1990s, originally developed in India on ColdFusion. I ran the project as project director through a redesign and refactor to .NET 3.5 under the MVC framework, with the final iteration developed in Russia and the Superbreak web services feed powering the hotel search.
Hotelnet had a very good search history, established since the late 90s, sitting on ageing technology. The site had originally been developed in India on ColdFusion, and carrying that search equity forward meant replatforming without losing it.
The site was redesigned and refactored from ColdFusion to .NET 3.5 under the MVC framework. In its final iteration the site was further developed in Russia and included the Superbreak web services feed to power the hotel search facility.

An old domain's search history is an asset on the balance sheet even when the technology underneath it is not. Replatforming around that asset, rather than starting again, is what keeps a decade of equity through a rebuild.
