Cookie policy
The short version: this website uses one tool that sets cookies, Google Analytics, and it only runs if you accept it. Nothing analytics-related loads until you do. No advertising, no social media trackers, ever.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store, usually so it can recognise you on your next visit or count how many people came. Related technologies do much the same job, including browser storage such as localStorage and tracking scripts loaded from other companies.
What this website uses
Two things, and only one of them needs your consent:
- A consent cookie that remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask you on every visit. It is set by this site, stores only your choice, and is strictly necessary, so it does not need consent.
- Google Analytics 4, which counts visits and shows us which pages are useful. It sets its own cookies and sends data to Google. It does not load, and sets nothing, unless you accept it in the banner.
There is no advertising, no social media pixel, and nothing else pulling data in from third-party servers. Fonts and images are served from this site.
Your choice
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether to allow Google Analytics. Choose Reject and nothing analytics-related ever loads. Choose Accept and Google Analytics starts on that visit. You can change your mind at any time:
Rejecting also clears any Google Analytics cookies already set on this device.
Cookie and technology inventory
| Name | Type | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration | Consent required |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
cc-consent |
Cookie | 1968ltd.com | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics | 1 year | No |
_ga |
Cookie | Google Analytics | Analytics | Tells one visitor apart from another | 2 years | Yes |

The Google Analytics cookies appear only after you accept. Until then the table is just the consent cookie.
How we keep analytics light
Analytics is switched off by default and only runs with your consent. When it does run, IP addresses are anonymised, and we use the data to understand which pages help people, not to identify you.
What our hosting provider sees
Serving a page still means your browser makes a request, and the server that answers it keeps a standard access log: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. That is not a cookie and it is not used to track you between visits. It is used to keep the site running and to spot abuse. The privacy policy explains how we handle it.
Blocking cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under settings, privacy. Blocking them here will stop Google Analytics and clear your saved choice, which means the banner will ask again next time. Nothing else on the site depends on cookies.
